Our Story: A Journey of Purpose and Hope
Discovering Purpose in Adversity
Pégé Children Foundation's story is rooted in the remarkable journey of our founder, Michelle Attoh. In 2012, Michelle's life took a dramatic turn when she survived a near-fatal car accident. After enduring life-altering injuries and a grueling two-year recovery, Michelle emerged with a renewed sense of purpose. Despite briefly returning to her career in Banking & Finance, she felt a calling to live a life of greater significance.
Answering the Call
Michelle's journey led her to Youth With A Mission (YWAM) United Kingdom, where she immersed herself in missionary work. Guided by a profound sense of gratitude for her survival and a desire to make a difference, she embarked on a four-month exploration of Ghana's communities. From the vibrant streets of Accra to the serene landscapes of the Volta and Central Regions, Michelle lived among the locals, absorbing their realities and challenges firsthand.
Embracing Compassion
During her time in Ghana, Michelle encountered Ethan and Jonathan, two young brothers, navigating the streets alone, deprived of the opportunity for education. Touched by their plight and fueled by compassion, Michelle vowed to make a difference, no matter how small. It was from this encounter that the seeds of Pégé Children Foundation were sown in 2018.
Empowering Lives
Since then, Pégé Children Foundation has grown, reaching more children in need. We've supported twelve children, making sure they can go to school and have a better future. Michelle's journey shows how even small acts of kindness can change lives. Inspired by her dedication and fuelled by the support of donors, fund trusts, and caring individuals like you, we continue to strive to bring hope to young lives.
